JVC XV-501BK Dvd Player

Has anyone been able to get this dvd player to play ANY kind of DVD-R media?

So far I have gotten almost all of my DVD-R's to play in this thing. Works fine with DVDXCopy titles, authored titles using Uleads DVD Workshop, and somewhat limited success using DVD2One and then burning. Using IFOEdit and recreating the IFO's the JVC will USUALLY play the title in regards to DVD2One. Sorta hit or miss, still cant figure out why. Im burning with a Pioneer DVR-105, with 1X generic DVD-R's.
