I was wondering if there is a loss in sound "fullness, quality" when listening to a 5.1 encoded DVD on my 2 PC speakers. Or how is it when listening to a 2.0 sound on a 5.1 system?
I don't want to use 5.1 and 2.0 both when creating a DVD but if there is a loss in quality, then I suppose I just might....

experiment with headac3he a bit
You can extract the 5.1 channel audio to separate channels
Of course you'll loose sg. but I'm not sure that's quality.
Stereo on 5.1 can be played 2 ways: js on the .1 and center. stereo on the left/right pair. Or js on the .1 and stereo on the left/right front.
Movies aren't only for thoose with 5.1 systems. The makers of the movie probably will create the film with that in mindAnyone tired of his old DVD burner? Why put it into the trash? Contact me! :))))
