the "artifacts" your speak of are totally normal, DVD->DVD you willl most likely see that the interlacing doesnt look proper on the computer screen, once u burn the dvd it will look totally normal. interlacing for computers vs tv is totally different And it would explain these "artifacts" you are tallkin about.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine

Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

  3. Ok, I have had no problems converting DVD-DVD. All of them are great looking and in sync. My problem lies in the fact of how to author the new 42 encoded files to burn a dvd-r. I was assuming DVDSP would work, but I get an error because of the frame rate of 23.98 fps not being accepted By DVDSP... How else do I author the files?

Seems like sizzle works though I only seem to get audio through half the movie when testing with VLC and apple dvd player... Creating the dvd folders with ffmpegx I get full audio, but it is in mpeg format and not the 5.1 ac3 that I input... MMT 9.1 had the same problem as sizzle, only half the movie had audio..

So I guess the question is, how do I author a DVD and get the 5.1 ac3 track and not an mpg audio track?
