Hello all!
I am a bit of a newbie to all this.
I have a problem with some .mpg files as VCD Standard NTSC.
I believe that they are in the right format. I have used the guide here at vcdhelp with tmpgenc to simple de-mux the file and reencoded the .mp2 file into an .wav, 44hz -> 48hz. After this i tried to import the .m1v file into Scenarist. But somehow i get this error:
Error : Number of pictures (20) in GOP(# 2213) or between sequence_header_code should be equal or smaller than 18.
If I set the "MAX number of frames in GOP" to 18 or less and then reencodes the file, scenarist accepts it.
So, do i have to reencode all my files?
Hope not, because what i belive this will make the quality even worse..
Hope someone out there can help me

There is a program over at DVD Digest http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/index.html called Restream that you might want to try. It will change the header imformation in the video and I have used it to correct encodes with success. It is relatively quick, much faster then doing a new encode.
Furthermore, you need to understand that Scenarist will check your imports for DVD Compliance. 1 sequence header with a maximum of 18 frames is a maximum standard allowance. Your video must be encoded with this or it will not work.
