  1. Hi,

I created an mpeg-2 movie file from a home movie using tmpgenc. I have to demux the mpeg file so I can use ifoedit and dvd decrypter to burn the movie on a DVD. Problem is, when I use tmpgenc to demux the file, I get no more than a fraction of the movie data in the demuxed files. This is happening with all the movies I processed with tmpgenc. Any ideas on what I can do to get the entire movie?

I did try bbdmux but even that does not give me the entire movie.

    Thanks,

    Ravi

Can you use TMPGEnc to format your movie to a DVD format and then burn it to DVD?
    Hello.

  3. Yes, the movies are formatted for DVD. However, the tools that came with the recorder (Toshiba R5002), Instant CD/DVD is not working at all and neither is power director, even after repeated re-installs. Which is why I am attempting to use ifoedit and dvd decrypter to create and burn image files onto a dvd. I have had success in burning a partial movie onto a DVD-R and vieing it on my standalone player.

I have never had such a problem with tmpgenc. Actually, I have been doing the same excercice, demuxing SVCD format movies after I re-encoded the audio in 48kHz.

I am assuming you use MPEG tools within tmpgenc. If so, note that there are two de-mux options there. Simple Demultiplex and Demultiplex. If you have tried one of these, try the other. It might help.

  5. I have tried both the demux options (simple demux and reg. demux). Both methods are resulting in the same issue...

  6. I've had problems Demuxing in TMPEng a few times, with it cutting a few seconds off the end of my video. This is on a file that I'd previously created with TMPEng's Merge & Cut. So if I need to do this now I use XMuxer to demux, and then TMPEng to remux and it's fine.
