Does anyone know if there is a tool(hehe, i said tool) to extract the chapter lists from a dvd into a plain text file. I am trying to convert The X-Files Season 1,2 and 3 boxed sets into SVCD(1 episode per SVCD). I have switched to DVD2SVCD which has simplified everything except for preserving the original chapter entries. Currently i am manually creating XML files for VCDImager and it is getting tedious doing each episode.
Thanks

There's a proggy called "ChapterXtractor". You can download it from doom9's site: http://www.doom9.net
All you need is to load up the relevant IFO with this proggy.

Smartripper 2.34 creates an INFO.txt file, that includes a chapter list (by frame numbers).

Thanks for the speedy replies. ChapterXtractor is just what i need. And thx to Truman for pointing out the useful info about Smartripper as i do occasionally use that for when DVD2SVCD just doesn't like certain discs.
