    Before I formatted my hard drive it was possible to convert WMV to MPEG. I downloaded another TMPGenc and now I get a grey screen. Thing is I did nothing to the other TMPGEnc to get it encode WMV. Any ideas?

    download the "other" tmpgenc.

    Is the Directshow option set to a higher priority?

    change your directshow to at least 3 and that should fix the problem.
