  1. I have been using SprucUp with great success but thought I would ty Workshop since I see a lot of people using it and liking it. The problem is it doesn't like my ac3 audio that I have muxed with my video. It always reencodes the whole move, video and audio both. I did a search and saw the idea of just using higher bitrate settings then what the actual movie was encoded at but no matter what I try, It always reencodes the video and my ac3 audio to mpeg format. . By the way my ac3 is produced by soft encode. Does workshop not output to ac3? What can i do?

  2. Ulead is planning for AC3 support with DVDWS in thenext version ($495) or the AC3 powerpack can be added to version 1.3 for $199 at the end of February.

  3. It does already support AC3 providing it is muxed with the video. I have created many DVD's with 5.1 ac3 audio. What version are you using and are you sure the video stream is DVD compliant.

  4. I believe it is version 1.3 (at work so I can't verify that) But I know for a fact the the audio and video streams are perfectly dvd complient since I used them all with SpruceUp and all played perfect on all sources. See all I am wanting to do is remake some of my old SpruceUp dvds with Workshop so I can add some background music and stuff like that to jazz them up some. So they are all proven sources. But it always reencodes audio to mpeg format, and video to what ever it is set at. I read somewhere that if I upgrade to the newer version there is a setting to "force no reencoding" Maybe this will help?????

  5. If you have version 1.3 there should be a tick box for do no reconvert compliant files. Version 1.0 did not have this checkbox but if you selected a higher bitrate than the original file it would not reencode.
