Mpeg2 -> DV avi possible?

I have mpeg2 file & would like to get DV (no matter what type) avi from it.
Are there any tools allowing this?

It is possible. You essentially have to follow this guide (but change the Divx compression to DV):

Virtual Dub Mod, mentioned on the home page of this site under news, allows you to open mpeg and even vobs. You can then encode them to any codec you have.

Step 1: Open File
Step 2: Set codec
Step 3: Save AVI



Step 2.x ...... Screw with the color, sound, size, framerate, sharpen, yada yada....
