they have the third movie ready to show actually.

    but

they can make so much more money by letting LOTR run. The first one was in theators until like April/May so they made alot more money than if they'd released the Return of the King.

BTW: In Return of the King alot more than just the Ring being killed. You have the battle of Palanor Field (i think) and Gondor, the Witch King, Theodian comes back, u have the tower of Cirack Ungle (SP) and then, their's the matter of what to do w/ Saurman and good old sharkey at the end.

Hehe, i won't give ney real spoilers.

My brother rented the first one, and that was the best sleep I've ever had. I thought the first was long, boring, and dull....but that's just me.

No I give up, I don't remember seeing that in the movie, in fact I don't think there were any rules in the movie, everyone went about killing anything that moved.

Looks like the mods don't leave their name anymore...

SrBrunox, I would love to know what you said, send me a personal message

Um, NOT TRUE. Read around the web and you'll see while they *completed primary filming* of all three movies, editing, scoring and post production has yet to be completed. Viggo Mortenson has already mentioned he'll be back in NZ this summer to shoot some last minute footage.

You seem to imply that greed was the reason that they've chosen to release the films sofar apart. The truth is that no one has ever filmed three films during a single shoot. With a $320 million dollar investment, three separate films is the only way to gurantee a decent return on the investment. I've been folowing these films since Peter Jackson first began shopping them to studios. Many (including Hollywood big wig Harvey Weinstein) balked at the idea of two films, let alone three. New Line was the first to show real interest in doing the films right. I think New Line and PJ have done an excellent job on releasing some fine films.

They also haven't held back on the DVDs. Releasing the DVDs of the prior film just before the theatrical release of the next is pure genius. It generates interest in the coming film while offering fans extended releases they (alright, *we*) crave so feverishly.

    Enjoy the movie...

    ? gelfling?

Bilbo Bagins went off to write the book.

Gollum/Smeagol is in the first movie briefly. We see just his hands at the introduction where he picks up the ring and later when he is tortured at Mordor.

Then, we see him completely (for a second or two) when he is following the Fellowship through the mines of Moria.

    Regards.
