    is there one out there that doesn't have the banner across the top and bottom of the screen? Or know how to get rid of it?

    in the PicVideo codec? you have two options- either pay them the $18 to register it, or download the Showshifter demo. it'll install a copy for you.

    Why don't you just use TMPGEnc? It's free. Am I missing something?

    If it's the PICVideo MJPEG codec, you can register it here:
    http://www.jpg.com/video/picreg.html
    If it's another MJPEG codec, look up the provider and I'm sure you'll find what you need.
