I have just the 343 after reading about the fact it plays every thing, it seem to work well (have not had time to test all types of disk, but whatever I give it seems very happy)
But when I play a burnt VCD from WinOnCd 3.8, the display say "PDC VCD" and no time display is shown, I have read the manual and it says if the VCD is not PDC the display can show the current play time and remaining time etc....
Can I switch it off? or is it part of the way that the CD is burnt?
Cheer, Paul

Paul, I found this by accident on my Pioneer DV-333. Just insert the VCD and press the track forward on the remote. It will give you all the info you asked for.
