  1. Hi How can i allow my pioneer dv 250 to play my all zone pal disc? Do i have to buy a converter if it exists? Where can i find one or is there a way to unlock the player?
    Please help me!!!!!

  2. If your player doesn't support PAL formated disc you really need to either buy one that does or re-encode the disc, sorry

  3. A converter is to expensive to buy. You are better off buying a cheap DVD player that has this conversion feature built in and can be made region free. For example the Philips DVD-634, Philipps DVD-724, Norcent DP-300, Apex 1100W, Lenoxx DVD-2003, Prima 1500 and Malata 520 offer this possibility. This website is very informative on this subject:

    Another possibility. If you have a DVD-ROM on your computer, you can change its firmware to a region free firmware for most models and install a program called DVD Region Killer. See this website:

    P.S. DVD models that can play VCDs in North America often have a built in PAL to NTSC converter, given that many VCDs are in PAL format. So I am bit surprised to hear you say that the Pioneer DV-250 doesn't have this. I am tempted to think that it does.
