I just wanted to know if this even matters when puting a home video on dvd. To my knowledge there is no video editing program that gives you 5.1 audio. I was looking at Ulead DVD Workshop and noticed that it doesn't support 5.1 or AC3 files until the end of feb. So I was thinking of waiting to get it when it supported it, but I didn't know if home videos could even have 5.1.
Thanks!

Well, if your recorded with 5 speakers, placed at 5 different directions. But, with a regular camcorder, it would not make a difference, as they are only two channels anyway.

MPEG-1 Layer 2, 384kbps, is the DVD Standard. That, PCM (Wave), or Dolby Digital.

What Authoring program do you think is the best? For home movies that is, I would like the quality to be the best so which program would you recommend?
Thanks again!
