Ulead Media studio 6.5 Directors Cut,Good for home videos?

I have MyDVD3.5 and Movie Factory 1 and want something better.
They are selling Ulead Media studio 6.5 Directors Cut for cheap on some sites. Would it be better than Ulead dvd factory 2? Any comments or opinions would be very helpfull to me.

MS6.5 rocks. 10x better then dvd moviefactory. Seems like a lot of ulead programs overlap and you might need dvd factory to get good authoring but as far as editing avis goes ms6.5 i think is good. Also if you get a version with the logos encoder it is quite good and for most things I think just as good as tmpgenc. Do not download and install the ms6.5 upgrade if you want the ligos encoder. I do not know if the current versions have the ligos encoder still bundled with ms6.5.

How do you know what encoder you have with MS. Ligos or Main Concept?

6.5 is good. Feels and looks like Premier. You might want to also look at Videostudio 6. Good program with lots of features. Version 7 coming next month.
