  1. okay, i own both an APEX AD-1200 and a panasonic/nintendo gamecube Q. when i burn dvd-rs, i can read them perfectly fine on the Q. however, when i try playing them on the apex, it reads them as a dvd, but then freezes up. i have read other posts about this, but no matter what i do in IFOEDIT it doesnt seem to solve the problem. same thing with DVD-RW. is there any other way around this or can anyone help me? thank you very much!

  2. Same thing happened on my Apex 703. Sony 665 playes ok. Tried several cheap DVD players around - only Philips played it but with artifacts. But it does not happen to all disks. Some (especially those copied with Nero's disk copy option) play just fine.

Here's the solution. Do not use Nero to create DVDRs - it does not follow the standard. Use different tool to create DVD image (I prefer Maestro). Then burn that image with Nero or DVD Decryptor. Of course it takes more time and you need extra 4.5 Gb disk (has to be NTFS for single file). But then it plays on every DVD player that supports DVDR.

    Hope this helps.
