    Im having so many problems making svcd with my current win98. I need to choose win2000 or winxp. Can i get some advice on what you guys think is the best OS for making svcd and or dvd. I've got a pentium III, 320ram and a 47gig HD.

    I would suggest Win98SE - particularly with older hardware.

    If you choose between XP and 2k, I'd stick to 2k. Same stability and compatibility, (maybe a little more so in 2k) less eye candy and stuff that constantly just annoys you and gets in your way. 98SE is much less stable, and FAT32 sux compared to NTFS, IMHO.

    if your having so many problems,it may not be your OS.
    could it be that you have a 64MB stick of ram(my quess 3 sticks)
    FAT32 sux compared to NTFS, IMHO.
    but NTFS is slower the fat32
