hi , the error code it comes up with is "f4d41436 TheTV Out port of your display card is not working properly." and if you click detailed you get this "This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled." my graphics card doesnt have a video out !.
my graphics card is a "dream.m64 tnt2 32m" i think -
The message may just be a ruse. A lot of commercial DVDs are formated with deliberate errors so as not to play on a computer (MGM is really bad at this). This means that I have to rip them, then manually remove the errors, then reburn the thing just so I can view it on my PC.
I suggest that you try another DVD. The message you have been given is coming from the DVD, not the player. -
thanks m8 you were bang on ,i tryed another dvd and its fine.
thanks for the help. -
No that message is to do with the macrovision protection on the disc. You need some sort of macrovision disabler for your gfx card (probably tnt 64). This occurs becuase they do not want you to play your dvd on computer and then out put to VIDEO and record it!! the video card is picking this up and disabling your TV output. Not all DVD's have macrovison (little triangle with CPC on the box). Update your video card or rip it and de-macrovision the Vobs. smartripper. Do this only if you own the Dvd.

The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons. -
