  1. Every single dvd I rip to the hard drive never works with dvd2mpg as seen in the pic below is what happens all the time.
But if I run dvd2mpg and load the ifo file from the dvd drive instead of the hard drive it always seems to work.

So my question is can this be fixed? Also if not how come it doesn't work for me and yet other people I hear use it and it works fine?

  2. Worry not!
all you need to do is get a copy of CladDVD, and use that to rip your DVD's. Just go into the options, and check "remove region coding", then rip the vob's and corresponding .ifo . Voila!, It should now play!

If not, get yourself a copy of Vstrip, (try and get the GUI too!), and i'll forward on instructions for that....

    Cheese out......

  3. Well clad is taking a long time can I rip it with smart ripper and then do the vstrip thing?

By the way could you tell me the vstrip thing?

  4. if you're using smartripper, you should only have to rip the .ifo with Clad, as that is all that's affected, which should take a few seconds. Vstrip is anything but quick, and would replace smartripper altogether, as it rips the files from the DVD itself.
Try doing the .ifo with clad, and the .vob's with smartripper. if that doesn't work, giv's a shout back,ok?

    Cheese out...
