  2. I have had the same problem. I presumed it to be down to the media it was burned on. I have yet to try another brand of CD-R,but I would suggest trying this. Also, an idea also if this doesnt work would be to drop the burning speed down a bit. This may ensure a deeper burn into the disc, which means the Napa player should read it better. This was the answer on earlier CD media to get the video to play on backups of playstation games.

  3. ill give it a go,ive already dropped the speed from x16 down to x4....looks like time to go down to x1.

last night i tried win on cd it gave the same results.

Just thinking though.....that might not fix it as disks that ive downloaded or copied from friends work when i burn them at x16....im thinking its more to do with a hardware/software prob with my setup when ripping....this is really annoying me.....or is it that the napa 311 suks ?

Is it jerky around scene changes? Try turning off the detect scene changes option on tmpgenc (assuming you are using it). It is under the GOP settings. This works for me on my 309.

Instead of starting yet another discussion item around this subject, do a search on some of the terms you're using: NAPA 311; JERKY PLAYBACK; DETECT SCENE CHANGES ... and discover the multitude of times this subject has come up, been asked and answered!

    Go on, try it.
