  1. i've rebuild my .dat file and checked Gspot wich codec i needed but mediaplayer and divx player will not play it what am i doing wrong?

    a .dat file is an mpeg file and so divx player won't play it. Neither will mediaplayer if it's mpeg2 format. Try installing dvd player software such as powerdvd to open it.
    you know it's the anti-Midas touch when all you touch goes to shit..............
