Hi All,
I am biulding a new system (2000 xp amd) and I am stuck with the kind of memory to put it. Should I buy 1GB SDR or 512 MB DDR? Tey cost almost the same!

for video editing .. the more the better .. so go w/ the 1 gig
for encoder -- hardly any memory is required .. so it doesnt really mater .. nor really the speed of the memory .. its cpu and throughput intensive - not memory intensive .. -
Gotta agree with BJ_M. The more ram you have the easier it will be to edit.
