  1. I have a GeForce 4 with TV-Out (S-Video), and a 'station' on my pc with an S-Video connector and composite audio sockets.

I want to transfer films (vcd and svcd in both divx and mpeg formats) to vhs. Neither my portable TV or VCR seems to have an S-Video socket, so I`m not sure what to do. I've just bought an S-VHS cable from my local Dixons.

    Thanks for any advice.

  2. Well do they have Scart sockets? You can buy converters easily that convert Svideo to scart. I'm not so sure about RF cables... Basically I have a GeeForce 3 card and use TV-Tool to send the picture out my PC as Svideo and into my VCR as Scart. Can you do this? Just hit record on the VCD and play on what ever software player u use and it shud record?! Or am I missing something and looking really stupid?

  4. get money ... goto maplins.. buy any number of s-video AND AUDIO to scart. I too have gf4 with s-video out and it works a treat. Although my Tv can be set to accept svideo on the AV input. TV tool is also quite good and very cheap... but it seems to be a MAJOR memory hogger... I cannot run anything else while it is running. Is it better or worse than Nview twinview?? set your desktop to 800x600 and clone. your choice.
BTW the win desktop displayed on your tv looks shit... but when the movie starts it looks 1000% better.
you need seperate audio out from your sound card to scart as well.
    :P
NNB dixons staff know F+++ a++ about anything. At least at Maplins they know what they are talking about and they are cheaper than dixons.
