  1. Hey everyone,
I have a problem. I have been encoding VCDs using TMPG and the template provided. Everything is fine....224 bit audio, 1150 video...everything is completely fine. Then, when I try to burn using Nero 5 it tells me that the file is not compliant. But then it tells me that the stats of the file ARE compliant. Then, the weird thing is, when I burn it DVD Station won't play the disc but Xing will. So it seems that turning off the VCD 2.0 compliance is messing things up. Now I am using TMPG to split the MPEG file (which WILL play in DVD Station) is that my problem? Where am I getting noncompliance when the file IS compliant? HELP!

  2. VCD compliance also requires that the pack size, audio padding, etc., are also correct.

If you are using TMPGEnc, are you actually using the VCD templates?

In any case, demux your MPEG files and remux them with TMPGEnc or bbMPEG. If you use TMPGEnc to mux, make sure you set "MPEG-1 Video-CD" rather than "MPEG-1 Auto".

    Regards.
