Okay, I've been having problems with jerky playback on my standalone, but I think that's either me screwing something up or it's a media issue. But now I get jerky playback when I hit "Play DVD" in IFOedit, which has me stumped.
Ripped the movie Shallow Hal with Smartripper, with just the video and 1 audio track. It's small enough that I don't have to re-encode, so I went straight to IFOedit & followed the procedure to author the DVD. When I test it with "Play DVD," it's very jerky and choppy. It won't play more than a second or two without the video stopping and starting. The audio keeps going, but the video just won't keep up.
I don't want to burn this disc, knowing that it's already looking screwed up. But I can't figure why it's doing this - because I didn't need to re-encode, there just aren't any steps to screw up the video between the ripping stage and the authoring stage.
Thoughts?
