    whats the fastest and most efficient way of converting WMV files to MPG1? what are the freeware tools to use? any detailed instructions? thanks!

    Guide shows AVI, but WMV will also work

    These are test files made with the popular codecs, the idea is that you download each one and test your system, if you find one that wont work, you only need to look at its name to know what you have missing.

    In this example "M$ WMV V7 (WMV 1)+(WMV 2) PCM Audio "

    Those are .wmv movie clips made with the Microsoft codec WMV 1 and WMV 2, with PCM (Uncompressed) audio
