DVDit 2.5 problems with .ac3 - no sound

Hi, I need help with .ac3 file!

I am using DVDit PE2.5, I have an mpeg file that contains video stream - .m2v and audio .ac3.

I put the video file and .ac3 file into DVDit, there is no sound! even when I burn to .VOB and still no sound.

When I play that file in my computer, there is no sound in Window Media Player! I have NVDVD and it seems I cannot play media file.

However, If I play the same file in another computer with PowerDVD, there is sound!

Any suggestions on how to make it work? I just want to burn the mpeg2 file with AC3 sound to DVD with DVDit!

i have the same problem. did you ever figured it out and tried a different authoring program?

i think i figured it out:

demux into m2v and ac3 with tmpeg

convert ac3 to mp2 with besweet gui

remux with tmpeg

use these mpg in dvdit, mak sure background music is 48k wav

finally, under audio option, check convert audio to ac3 (DD), otherwise you will another 800 to 1 gig in size!
