I have an avi i want to convert to mpeg. When i load the avi in to tmpe it has no sound and gives me an error 40% thorugh the conversion. I Load the moive in to Virtual Dub
virtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during this process for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 9521ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to and uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder.(bitrate: 129.4 + 14.2 kbps)
What sould i do. Can any one out![]()

Load the DivX (and it's a DivX not avi, small but important point) in VDub. Under audio choose 'direct stream copy' then choose 'file save wav'.
Then run TMPGenc, load the DivX file as the video and the new wav file as the audio source. Then click run to encode (that should fix it). -
