    Hello
I have tried the CCE (Multiplexed it) and TMPEGENC Guide on Encoding.
I have tried different bitrates, 1400, 2000, 2100 all well below 2500 and I have used the correct template for my movies, NTSC FILM.

I have burnt the encoded SVCD mpeg, Signs(XVID) AND Lord of the Rings using nero, vcdimagergui and VCDEasy and also have tried burning on Verbatim and Maxell CD-RWs without luck on 2x and 4x
All of them skip at SOME scenes, some with motion, some without motion. Also the audio does NOT go out of sync after, it continues to stay in SYNC. The encoded MPEG plays fine, the svcd plays flawlessly on my DVD software on my computer.
This is killing me! I dont know what to do! Ive tried a lot of stuff but I need some advice about this. Should I try burning on CDRs? Please any person who knows about the Samsung DVD-S221,DVD-S222,DVD-S320,DVD-S321 works with SVCDs or VCDs please help.
Any advice would be much appreciated please.

I don't know about the S-221 and the NTSCFilm rate, but whenever I have a problem with something encoded at the NTSCFilm rate, and it skips, the first thing I try is to encode at the standard rate and many times this has fixed it. I suggest you try a test, using the standard rate of 29.97 fps and see if the problem persists.

  4. I live in South America and I we have here the Samsung DVD s223. Im guessing its like the s221 but for Latin America. I noticed that my samsung would start stuttering after a minute of playing any non standard VCD. So I called samsung and they switched my DVD player. Now it plays standard VCDs (v2.0) without any problems and I can FF and rewind. But with XVCDs and SVCDs I can only play the video and not FF/RW. Hope this helped

  6. I have just purchased the Samsung S221. After owning the Samsung M301, which played everything except some DVD-Rs.
I have the same problem at times with DVD-Rs on the S221. It’ll play the disks fine
Except for it jumps for a millisecond at times-never getting out of sync though.
I believe that this is because of the way the movie has been either ENCODED/AUTHORED/or burnt??? Not sure at this time.

What is weird is that if you saw a lot of reviews of the Samsung, they all say their VCD,SVCDs play fine. I'm trying various encoders and various options right now on how to fix this. I got a lot of help just by searching the word stutter on the forum where hundreds of people have helped other people on solving this issue with other DVD players.
Ill let you know how to solve this because I am not going to stop determining what problem this is.
Hopefully one of us will figure it out eh?
