  1. Hey All

Just wanted to let you all know that I got an email from rebate central (bought a DVR-105 from officemax after Christmas for $169 AR) saying they got my request and I met the requirements and to expect my rebate within 30 days.

  2. From my understanding this isn't the ao5 but the a04 cause the same rebate program is going here at my local officemax and the speeds on the box wasn't correct with the a05 so i asked the manager he said its not the new model but the one before it so that would make it a a04!!! Did you get a 4x r 2x write speed?

  3. It says on the box that the model is DVR-105 and writes at 4X (-R) and 2X (-RW). I have burned discs at 2X, but have not bought 4X discs yet to try it at that speed. My computer recognizes it as DVR-105 and not DVR-104. The ad had a blue box, but when I bought the cendyne it was a brown box with 4X written on it. Cendyne had the rebate for both the 2X and the 4X. It probably depended on the store as to which they had in stock. The ad did say model # will vary by store. Many others in this forum said they got the same thing...the 4X.

    GIMP:

The one going on NOW appears to only be for the 2x. The one going on a few weeks ago that he's already sent the stuff in for was valid for either model as long as the correct box was checked etc.

  5. I guess my local store didn't get to do the 105 yet he said they haven't even got the first one in their store yet that they was still waiting. So i guess i will be to! I've waited for 2 years now so whats a few more months he he he. I wished they would just set a standard myself. I read a thing a few weeks back on a dvdr forum that mitshubitsi has created a new laser for dvd burning that would make speeds at 16X but wouldn't be available till summer 2003!

I purchased the Cendyne 4X last night. It wasn't in stock at the store I first went to and went to another store after the clerk called to verify that it was in stock. A sales clerk told me that they can have a drive shipped to the store from the distribution center in one day for all you people that can't find one in stock. This cannot be purchased on-line.
