    The .m2v file that CCE created last nite was 2.9Gb (which turned out to be a mess anyway-->jerky, jumpy and skipping..)

  2. make sure that the field order is correct..you can get a lot of the option if you look at the vob files under birate viewer..

    Are you sure the encode finished? In multipass vbr each pass is an entirely separate encode. If it crashes %1 into the 6th pass your still only going to wind up with %1 of your encoded movie, even though it has encoded the entire movie 5 times already.

    If you want more info regarding what is happening during encoding then set CCE to create a log file. This way you can find out why it might have crashed.

    On the main screen go to, options/outputs and check "output logfile" and set a destination.
