Hi everyone
I encoded several clips, and the bitrate method I was using is CQ (50, minimum=0, maximum=8000) and VBV = 224.
It plays fine on WinDVD player, but on Windows Media Player at some very low consuming bitrate scenes (<1200 kbps), it skips like crazy!
is this has something to do with overflow/underflow thing?
will these clips play fine on my standalone DVD player?
Thanks!
EDIT: Ooops stupid title! I meant VBR![]()

Eh, all I can say is test it on your own player. My VBR VCDs work ok in WMP, but go crazy in PowerDVD... and have similar mixed effects in different DVD players

Back after a long time away, mainly because I now need to start making up vidcapped DVDRs for work and I haven't a clue where to start any more! -
General rules of minimum settings for VBR/CBR MPEG's:
(X)VCD=600kbps
(X)SVCD=1000kbps
DVD=2000kbps
These are tried and tested for the best compatibility.
