I am using Windows Movie Maker Beta 2.0 and recently tried to 'Save to CD' more information revealed that is the HMAT format. I read that is a standard for sharing digital media accross multiple platforms. It sounds similar to VCD however I wasn't able to get it to play in a DVD player.

    What do you think??

    Thanks,

  2. that format seems pretty apealing to me also. it allows for storing WMV onto a CD's and being able to play on home systems, pc, etc. If its get more popularity it good be really good. Panasonic is supposed to have a DVD player that supports this sometime in 2003. But, i dont get why they would try to come out with this when VCD is already so popular and does about the same thing.

Because they're not satisfied with PCs and want to take over your TV, too. Why else build CD burning and the like to WinXP.... total monopoly time.
