  1. ok, I've been trying to back up the matrix. Reading the DVD2DVDR for dummies, the following is what I have done and, subsequently, ended up with. I, first, ripped with Decryptor (ONLY the main files) into a VIDEO_TS folder along with the VIDEO_TS.ifo and .vob file. I then used DVD2AVI to produce a d2v and three ac3 files. I, then, encoded only the video in TMPG which turned out as a 3 GB m2v. I went ahead and retrieved the chapter points with xtractor and saved them. Much of the software required hereforth is hard to find. So i leave you with a couple of questions. Is it even possible after merging the video and audio to still have the original menu? and #2 can anyone suggest the best method from here on out (just to finish this movie, i realize there may be better methods from beginning to end) and its required software? I realize i did not include settings used but considering the circumstances they are irrelevant, as I've, to this point, not encountered errors. Thank you all in advance for your efforts. I anxiously await finishing this project!
