Ok so I'm currently backing up xXx region 1 and have stumbled upon something that is pi$$ing me off and I can find no reason for it happening.

Ok heres the situation , I want to be left with 3 of the menus ( subs , scenes , and main ) from the vts_02_0.vob and all but the F.B.I warning in the Video_ts.vob so I open Ifoedit and start with the vts_02_0 keeping vobId's 1,2,4 and while I'm doing that also strip out the streams I want to keep. Then I get the vts sectors and burn it to a -rw to make sure it all works. Everything is fine so I load video_ts.ifo into Ifoedit and again keep 1,2,4 vobId's , reget the vts sectors and re burn to an -rw and everything is as I want it..

Now I can hear you all saying so whats the problem , the problem is this I went back to the disc to redo it to demonstrate the process to someone and did all the work to vts_02_0 including the get vts sectors and then remembered that I wanted to remove the warning so I did that as well and went to burn in nero only to get an error message that the information in Vts_02_0.ifo wasn't required ( basically that it just wanted to burn the video_ts files ).

Its really confused me , I've redone it multiple times and its always the same if I burn the disc before I rip the id's from video_ts and then burn it again everythings fine if I don't burn the disc before stripping video_ts it fails...

As you can see it makes no sense as burning the disc doesn't edit the files ( atleast I don't think it does , does it ? ) can anyone shine any light on to the situation , its not actually a problem I'll leave the damn warning in I just can't work out why I should have to burn the disc before I can successfully remove anything from the video_ts.....

Any explainations ? to prevent further hair loss
