    i know how to rip a dvd and i know how to use dvd 2 avi but after i do that i have a video file and a wave file how do i put them together as a full avi i know i can do it with tmpgnc but thats mpeg i need avi can anyone help?

    By avi I assume you mean DivX. If so then checkout Gordian Knot. You can d/load the software package from doom9.org

    It's a front end loader (sort of like DVD2SVCD) that runs everything for you.
