I ripped a movie in Smartripper and only got the main movie. Then I've used IFOedit to rip out the other languages. Still the movie is too large to fit on one Disk. I've tried to use several techniques to split or divided the movie to two disk, however, since I don't have the orginal menu, which was stripped out with smartripper, I can only get the first disk to play. The second disk won't start. I believe I've follow the correct procedures in all the guides associated with this topic,... but no luck.
Does anyone know how to split without having the orginal Video_TS.vob. Also, please no suggestion about re-encoding. Itried that last night with DVD2AVI and Tmpgen,... and the estimated duration was 19 hours,... after 12 hours i got a "Disk Write error".
Hope someone has a suggestion.

I once had the same problem, what worked for me was say in your VIDEO_TS folder you got your 5 or 6 vobs and ifo/bup files, drag the last vob to another folder then delete all the ifo/bup files.Launch IFO-Edit hit create IFO's find your 1st vob and hit go wait 10/15 mins you now got most of the movie ready to burn. Now go back to the vob that you moved and rename it VTS_01_1 and create IFO,wait. Now you should have the end of the movie and ifo/bup files ready to burn. After burning the first part of the movie, rename the folder the last part of movie is in to VIDEO_TS and burn with not forgetting an AUDIO_TS folder. It worked for me so just maybe it will work for you.........

Spaceman, Thanks a million,... I finally was able to try you suggestion and it works good. You won't believe the problems I've had getting here. My system crashed so badly I could not get it back. I finally, after trying for a week, switched over to Win XP, and It has taken me two days just to get that updated and functional.
Then, when I tried your Idea, IFOedit 0.95 gave me nothing but errors in trying to finish the IFO's. I downloaded an older version of IFOedit 0.91 and it worked fine. I just hope this good fortune continues.
Thanks again for your post,... I probably never got that movie to play without your help."Technology",...It's what keeps us all moving forward. -
