  1. Ive got the Two Towers DVD-r screener,it plays fine for a while on the ps2 then its starts to jitter/lag abit.Does it on mine and a mates ps2.

I made a backup of ice age to dvd-r using dvd decrypter, ifoedit, record now max.Just the movie,DD5.1 audio and chapters. No menus or extras.
It works fine on my standalone and on my pc but on mine and my mates ps2 it ether just plays the audio or plays the audio and video but the video jerks/lags.

Im using Traxdata dvd-r's.Cant be the media as they work fine on every thing else ive put them in plus the ps2 reads the perfectly when its a dvdr game.

Anyone know whats up with the ps2 and playback.

  2. How does your PS2 perform on a regular (original) DVD? That may point you in the right direction. I've also heard the DVD performance osfPS2s are not that great to begin with but......

I'm no expert but I would say contrary to what you think, it may be a media issue. Certain devices can be picky about what media they'll play. It can sometime defy reason so you just have to accept it and try something else. Once you find something that works, stay with but always shop for the best price. Even this method has complication since even the same brands can have different manufacturers from what I understand. Like the Accu's. Sometime they're made by Sony, sometime the appear to be made by Lead

Now if 1 Traxdata DVD-R worked and the next Traxdata DVD-R both from the same manufacturer (ADVDINFO.exe) didn't, then I'd rule out media.

Then of course you could always try the 3 most popular changes for people that are having problems. Read/Write at lower speeds, change the format ISO vs. UDF, use a different burning program.
