I have an avi file which when I encode and set size to "keep aspect ratio" (as per guide in vcdhelp) makes a very narrow film when played through dvd player onto my widescreen uk tv. What's the best way in tmpgenc to set it to be a bigger picture on the tv. Do I change the size or is there another setting.

TMPGEnc > Setting > Advanced > Clip Frame
From there you can see the different outputs, if you choose "full screen" you will loose the sides of the pictures. It can also stretch
On a widescreen TV you should be able to "Zoom" and that removes the black areas. -
Also, make sure you set the Source aspect ratio in TMPGEnc to 1:1 (VGA) since your source is a DivX.
Hope That Helps!!! :P
