  1. I have an avi file which when I encode and set size to "keep aspect ratio" (as per guide in vcdhelp) makes a very narrow film when played through dvd player onto my widescreen uk tv. What's the best way in tmpgenc to set it to be a bigger picture on the tv. Do I change the size or is there another setting.

From there you can see the different outputs, if you choose "full screen" you will loose the sides of the pictures. It can also stretch

On a widescreen TV you should be able to "Zoom" and that removes the black areas.

Also, make sure you set the Source aspect ratio in TMPGEnc to 1:1 (VGA) since your source is a DivX.

    Hope That Helps!!! :P
