If you have an box with Oxford911 chips, and a fast CD that doesn't work, you will want to do this:

File this one away for future use, you may need it!

I recently purchased a new CDRW as the old one was failing. So I bought a Samsung 48x16x48 with an 8 meg buffer! I bring it home and install it in an ADS technologies firewire box, plug it in, and turn it on..... Nothing ! The tray won't even open! In the course of trouble shooting, I found that the drive seemed OK when the IDE cable was disconnected. After a few hours I ws about ready to pack the thing up and bring it back. Then I remembered that there might be a firmware upgrade for the ADS box. After finally finding it (since ADS can't be bothered to put it on their site ) all is well.
