If you have an box with Oxford911 chips, and a fast CD that doesn't work, you will want to do this:
File this one away for future use, you may need it!
I recently purchased a new CDRW as the old one was failing. So I bought a Samsung 48x16x48 with an 8 meg buffer! I bring it home and install it in an ADS technologies firewire box, plug it in, and turn it on..... Nothing! The tray won't even open! In the course of trouble shooting, I found that the drive seemed OK when the IDE cable was disconnected. After a few hours I ws about ready to pack the thing up and bring it back. Then I remembered that there might be a firmware upgrade for the ADS box. After finally finding it (since ADS can't be bothered to put it on their site
) all is well.

Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
