Hello i have been using Nero with much success but alot of the forums i have read state that recordnow max seems to be more compatible with standalone players. When i try to burn with RNM i get "terminated with errors" B4 it starts burning. I drag the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders in the data mode as it shows up in red i guess meaning that it recognizes dvd video. could someone please explain exactly what to do so i can see what i'm doing wrong? using pioneer A03

In RecordNow (DX, or MAX) there is a wizard option. Hopefully there is in your version. This is the easiest method to burn.

The wizard (as described in the manual) describes how to use "Make a Data Disc" (third option on the menu). You drag and drop your files (i.e., you're VIDEO_TS folder) that you want to burn on the DVD and hit next. It burns, and your done. I have never had the selection (in wizard mode) turn red as you describe.

My VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders show up red in data mode, But the disks always play perfect

I just installed and never changed a single setting and it worked fine

Under the options tab make sure that data disk is set to recognise VIDEO_TS AUDIO_TS standards

I have all the options at default to recognize VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS for dvd specs. Also in the wizard the folders donot come up in red. But I do everything fine, drag the folders in the wizard data and data mode and when i go to burn i still get that terminated with errors message. THe reason tells me the media should be cleaned but i use new discs with no scratches. I forgot to mention my pioneer A03 is Usb 2 but shouldn't matter because i do copy to copy dvd's with RNM. I guess i will stick with Nero for now! thanks

I have the exact same problem as Roland187,when i come to burn,it comes up with error saying dvd is dirty!It is not-it's a brand new disk.The other strange thing is if i drag the files without having a video_ts it burns the files fine!All settings r correct it is set to recognize all standards.
I even tried uninstalling all other burning software,but same problem remains-can't understand why only some people have encountered this problem.Burned fine with Nero in all modes(when it was still installed).It is the same with 3 different modes of Record Now- i.e. Max,dx and basic record now.Anybody any idea,-record now site is useless!
