Weird problem

Hi, I've just downloaded Gladiator (Part 1 and 2) and I know that the files are correct. Now, when I play these .avi's on my Divx Player 2.0 Alpha there's a strange problem: the images are perfect, really good resolution and all and the sound (music that is) is great,except for one little problem ( rather big problem actually) I CAN'T HEAR ANY VOICES. Only thing I hear is like the music and swords clanging together, but NO voices. What can this be? I know almost for sure that the files are perfectly all right so...
Please help me !!!!!!!!

Your PC is only playing the stereo channels but not the centre, bass, surround ones. I too got a 'kareoke' gladiator when playing around with my 5.1 setup - mute the centre speaker and lower the bass a bit, then dub your own voices
Either find some extra speakers to hook up (if you have a 4, 5, 6 channel soundcard) or see if there is some way to set your audio playback to 2-channel downmix.

if all else fails, go buy the disc, it should be in all the bargain bins by now, like the ET game was
