I have a DVR-104 and have successfully backed up my collection of DVDs, They play fine on both of my standalone DVD players and my PC, but I’ve not got one to play at all on my PS2. I've since tried to backup some of my PS2 games and none of these will work either, (and yes it is chipped but I'm not sure which chip was used). At first I thought it was because I was using cheap discs to copy to so I bought a few TDK discs only to see that they wouldn't work either.
Today I bought a couple of Verbatim DVD-R discs and a Verbatim DVD-RW disc. I copied a movie to the Verbatim DVD-RW disc which worked in the players but again not the PS2. If I get a backed up movie to play on the PS2 will this media then work for games also. I don't want to ruin the Verbatim DVD-RW discs.
I've tried DVD Decrypter (read/write), Record Now Max (global image), and Nero (1:1)
I'm going out of my head here...is it the discs... have I been given a dodgy chip? (It plays games backed up on to a CD)... am I using the wrong software...I don't know.
I would really appreciate any help at all, no matter how small,
Thanks in advance,
Ben Ryan (Ireland)
