  1. I'm l,ooking for the best WDM drivers for my Pixelview Pro capture card.
I have tried the drivers at http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/ but at best they lock up my system.
    I am using Windows XP.
Anyone know where I can get the best drivers?

Those drivers only let my IUVCR cap in 25 fps PAL, so I don't run them. I do run the latest WDM drivers off the manufacturer site. Since a LOT of chipsets are the same, you may try drivers for another card.

  3. Those btwincap drivers are EVIL...I could never get them to work in my system and I tried three different times with three different versions of Windows (98SE, XP Pro, Win2K).

I use the ATi drivers for my Tv Wonder (pci ver) and they work flawlessly except for in VirtualDub they will only capture at ???x240. This is not a problem in other capturing software (VirtualVCR, MGI Videowave 5.0, Iuvcr, etc).

  4. the BTWINCAP WDM drivers work fine for me (TubroTV - now out of business) now captures at 720x480 (huffyuv 2.1.1 (best settings) at 29.97 fps) with only 50% cpu untilization vs. 75% with the older version of their drivers.

It works best with Brooktree 8xx chipsets.

The only alternative I've found is at this Russian guy's website - linked from the BTWINCAP site

    http://www.iulab.com/

his driver is much more limited in supported cards (brooktree 848 / 878).
