    Whenever i try to start the conversion, a error message pops up and it says fatal error.... what do i do??? is there a good alternative program?

    Make sure you are either using the latest version or 1.76, all others are very unstable.

    Please give some more info about what you are doing. I assume your source is a dvd?

    An alternative is mpgmediator (SP?) but I can't recommend it because I've never tried it.
