  1. I tried looking through this forum to find a similar topic, but with no success. I need to find a GOOD program that can convert a Real Media file to an .avi format. i tried the Sonic Stream Anywhere thing. it was sayin something about the codec. too complex for me. Can anyone help?

  2. Follow this link

    http://evc.to/tinra/

Note, I tried it, but it doesn't work on all RM files.

The only other way, is using a screen capture utility, like Hypercam or Snagit, but you will have to set your display to 256 colours.

U can use hypercam to capture your video screen as you watch the RM.

Create a feedback loop through ur sound card.

  9. I swear, if it's not one thing, it's another. I'm sorry to keep bothering, but hypercam won't work. I can't have that "Unregistered Hypercam" floating in the top left corner of the video...are there any freeware .rm converters in existence??

  10. If you have a version of RealPlayer that's capable of playing the clip, then Tinra will convert it. You can't capture either without this same requirement, so why not give it another shot? There's a GUI for it here.

This is the only freeware converter I know of (only converter I know of, actually). It has limitations and isn't for the faint at heart, but if you're persistent it mostly works.
