problems playing vcd's on my dvd player

i like to download a lot of movies, and most of them are in realmedia format. i have tried converting as this site says, using eo video first, and then buy making it into VCD using TMPGEnc. i then burn it onto a cd, but when i put it into my dvd player, it says no audio found, or something like that. i have a sony DVPNS305 by the way.

Later on i downloaded a file which was already mpeg and on m computer it had sound. as soon as i put it into the dvd player it doesnt. i was wandering if someone could please help me

i have the same problem. i have a bunch of nimo divx files converted to mpeg1 and burned onto a cdr. it plays fine on my pc but my dvd player freaks out when i try to play it. when i first put it in the music screen comes up and it has the names of the files, but when i try to play one the screen flickers and rolls and all i can see is dancing static w/ no sound. i used tmpg and i have an apex ad1500 which i hacked with the download available on this site. the player plays vcd, dvd, cdr, mp3 and just about anything else i put in, but it won't do anything with the discs i burned in mpeg1. if anybody has any advice email me at fnord333@msn.com. thanks
