  1. I was wondering what the best software was for writing DVD's. I have been using spruceup but that dosent seem to like my new drive. I want a program that is capable of handling menus and me adding special features such as trailers etc.
    Can anyone suggest anything?

  2. I was wondering the same thing for a while and I tried SEVERAL burning programs. After much trial and error I settled on DVD MovieFactory v1.0 from Ulead. It won't encode the DVD file for you, this is strictly a burning solution. I use TMPGEnc for encoding any video files.
I found that DVD MovieFactory has had the best results yeilding no "coasters" so far. It allows you to build menus and select your own background images for them. You do have to stay within predefined templates which is a limitation but the DVD burning results are excellent.
