It's happened in w/ 2 movies I was converting. During the credits it displays the credits in enlish then it displays the credits in another language (for me it was french both times). Does anyone know a good way to get rid of the foreign language segments so that I get only the english credits? Editting is too much work because the languages alternate at regular intervals (about a second or so).

Just cut the whole credits out. Do you really need to know who was the assistant sound director or shit like that? The only reason i would keep the credits was if there was video in it like in the movie wild things

that's exactly the problem, the intro credits to movies like armageddon or crimson tide have prologues while credits like "so & so presents" and "a blah blah production" scroll through. i'd like to keep these parts in because i consider them part of the movie. so are there any solutions other than: 1) completely excluding the sequence, 2) encode the whole svcd and then edit it as an mpeg2, 3) individually encoding only the english parts and then joining the clips.

You have a dvd that uses multiple angles to get the credits in 2 lang. You need to re-rip the dvd and use smartripper to get angle 1. This will eliminate the other languages credits.

I tried SmartRipper and it worked perfectly! Thanks to both of you for your help.
