If you read guides are do a search you'd see many choices.
Depending on your length you can use CBR which will gives you the same quality as a 2-pass but with a larger file size. -
hmm, i thought mayb mvbr, or CQ would be better to use than CB?,
my problem is on high motion im getting alot of noise, got a jet li movie to backup, 130 mins long -
The noise could be from the original rip. Maybe filtering would help, check the guides.

130min with a CBR would not look well at full res. You would have to use 352x480 with a CBR of 3000 or so.
Play around and put your DVD-RW to good use. -
i done the movie in cq mode, max bit to 5000 and min to 2000, seems ok!!
